roasted garlic

Hi all!

Well, these last few days we’ve been waiting to see if our little baby girl is ready to enter the world or not. It seems she’s quite comfy with mommy and so as I wait entering my 40th week of pregnancy, I thought I’d share with you a simple, yet delicious recipe for roasting garlic in the oven that just tastes superb. You’ve got to try it! Here’s what you will need…..

-A loaf pan (….or any other pan that will easily hold the garlic)

-Heads of garlic (as many as you can fit inside or as many as you want to make)

-Olive oil

Here’s what you do……

Drizzle 1-2 tsp of olive oil in the loaf pan. Cut the tops of the garlic (just about 1\2 inch from the top, not too much) and drizzle a few more tsps along the tops of the garlic. Place in a preheated oven at 300°F \ 150°C  for about 30-45 minutes or until nice and golden.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?

Now, just squeeze them out of their skins using your thumb and finger….they pop out easily.

And voilà…..ready to add to your dishes or just spread along some bread! Yummy!

Happy garlic roasting!
