Did you know you can cleaner your jewelry at home without using expensive jewelry cleaners? Here’s a pretty easy, non toxic method with supplies you already have in the pantry!
Supplies:
-A bowl
-A piece of aluminum foil
-1 TBSP salt
-! TBSP baking soda
-1 TBSP dish detergent
-1 cup of water
In a bowl, place the piece of aluminum foil, followed by the salt, baking soda, dish detergent and water. Swish to incorporate the ingredients. Place the jewelry in the bowl and let them soak for about 10 minutes. Rinse with water. That’s it =)
Happy jewelry cleaning!

Do I line the whole bowl with foil or just a small piece in bottom or something?! Thanks
Hi Molly! Just place a good size piece of foil to cover the bottom…..no need to line the entire bowl up the sides =)
is this safe to use on diamonds and precious stones? I’ve seen this recipe before but was only for silver jewelry and semi precious stones.
Hi Sarah =)
I’ve personally used it on my wedding and diamond rings with no problem at all =)

I am giving this a go now!
Works perfectly for set gems. Be careful when the gems are glued -> they can fall off
